2025 Kukseondo Mind-Body Meditation Retreat Record (by Kwon Seok-ha, Jinseon)

In early May 2025, I applied for the "Kukseondo Course" through Andong City's lifelong education program, marking the start of this retreat.

The venue was set for the Yongsang-dong Administrative Welfare Center conference room, and the one-day retreat was scheduled for July 22nd.

The course title was "Kukseondo Mind-Body Meditation Training Free Course," and enrollment was limited to 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis to encourage participation.

However, on the day of the retreat, the welfare center was being used for a government consumption coupon issuance program, making the venue unavailable. Therefore, we had to urgently change the venue to the "Mattul Eoullim Center." This space had been established as part of Andong City's urban regeneration project, and thanks to the active cooperation of the center director and the staff at the Yongsang-dong Administrative Welfare Center, the transition was seamless.

Seven participants ultimately participated, and the two-hour training focused on regulating both body and mind in a warm atmosphere. Key training topics included:

Qi and Blood Circulation Method: A qi flow training that gently relieves blockages in the body.

Pre-Wake Up Exercise: A light warm-up exercise to start the day.

Outer Gongbo Method for Relaxation: Developing qi circulation and strengthening physical strength through the use of correct steps, elephant steps, straight steps, and crane steps.

Finally, participants reflected on the changes in their bodies and minds and shared their experiences.

Despite the change in location, this training session proceeded smoothly thanks to the cooperation of relevant organizations and the local community. It was a meaningful experience for all participants to experience the health methods of Kuk Seon Do.
